Why PRCA Partners with Families
Growth in a Community Committed to Christ: PRCA seeks families that are actively involved in a local body of believers, regardless of denominational affiliation. The goal is not simply head knowledge but a living and active faith that takes root in speech and action. A common foundation, regarding faith and learning, enables PRCA to be an extension of the Christian home.
Shared Value on High Academic Standards and a Strong Work Ethic: PRCA believes that all children are created in the image of God, and we respect the uniqueness of their personalities. As the primary educators of their children, parents are called upon to be actively involved with their young children as they do homework, and continue to ensure diligence and offer support as students mature. While our students are pushed academically, teachers also strive to balance work loads so students may experience a well-rounded life that includes athletics, fine or performing arts, and serving their community.
Mutual Respect for a Broad-Based Education Affecting the Heart and Mind: Some parents desire a mainstream education for their children. However, PRCA represents a different option in purpose, form and content. From our dress code to our emphasis on writing and speaking to our emphasis on "The Greats," our ultimate goal is to shape the hearts and minds of our students in a culture of Christian discipleship. This broad education provides a foundation in all subjects which allows students to pursue whatever God has called them to do. PRCA teaches students to think deeply and Biblically and to love learning in a positive, Christ-centered environment.
