Athletics

Athletics at PRCA

Athletics is an essential facet of our school culture, extending our mission of teaching students to become like Christ on the courts and on the playing fields.

We strive to pursue excellence for God’s honor and glory and to practice the art of honoring others through competition. Athletics are seen as a vehicle to disciple students, bringing all who experience our programs into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Since the first high school class of 2001, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy has earned over 30 team AIA (Arizona Interscholastic Association) State Championships and much recognition at the regional level. PRCA offers 17 competitive high school varsity and JV programs. State championship appearances have been achieved in football, girls & boys basketball, girls & boys swim, girls & boys cross country, baseball, girls & boys soccer, girls & boys track, softball, and girls & boys tennis. Our boys soccer team is the 2024 3A State Champion!

Many student-athletes have chosen to pursue a collegiate athletic experience at various levels and are prepared for the rigors of college academics and an athletic commitment due to their time as a PRCA Lion. Ten of our 2023 graduates signed Letters of Intent to continue their careers at the college level!

Middle School student-athletes (grades 6-8) have the opportunity to participate in 14 competitive and developmental-level co-curricular sports opportunities throughout the year. MS programs include football, girls volleyball, coed tennis, coed cross country, coed soccer, girls softball, girls and boys basketball, and boys and girls track & field.
